How to forward ? by Air or by Sea ?

AIR	Fast and rapid	Expensive Rough handling at air port	Freight charged by chargeable weight, which is normally approx 50% bigger the actual weight. Normally,personal effects are calculated by volume. The bulky items should cost much more expensive to send.

Unit to be used in the moving market is
CBM (cubic meter) 1meter x 1meter x 1meter
CBF (cubic feet) 1foot x 1foot x 1foot (35.315 cft = 1cbm)

For the calculation of ocean freight, normally CBM is used.
For the calculation of air freight, heavier weight either actual weight or calculated volume weight shall be adopted.
The formula for the calculated volume weight is L(cm) x W(cm) x H(cm) / 6000(cm3)

EX :	Actual weight : 110kg, (L100cm x W100cm x H100cm)
	Volume weight : 100x100x100 / 6000 = 166.6kg
	Then 166.6kg shall be adopted for the calculation of air freight

How long does it take to the major destination from any Japanese port?

Standard Door to Door pack means a complete moving service. Moving service from your residence in Japan to the residence in your home country. Should you have some furnitures or bigger than 2 M3 move, we recommend to select this service. Moving with "Standard Pack", then you don't have to do anything, our experienced staff do all the packing including any odd shaped furniture, and all the breakable items. We will be bringing all the packing materials with us. And if you need the packing material earlier than pickup date, we are happy to provide them beforehand. While packing, we de-fabricate beds and some big furniture in order to squeeze the volume for the smaller cost. As for the destination delivery services, unpacking, fabrication of furniture, placing of furniture and the removal of packing debris on the same day are also included.

In survey day We dispatch our staff to couduct at survey for making an estimate of your moving, and we are happy to give you any detailed advice how shall be the best moving style for you.
In Economove Japan Office In our office, we calculate the total cost of its moving and will submit our best rate.
Packing Day Should you agree our rate, we will dispatch the experienced packing crew to your residence with all our packing materials.
How to pack Our packing specialist will pack any odd shaped items, and any breakable items under most carefull and sensitive way. And we de-fabricate some furnitures and make them smaller in order to save the volume.
Numbering the boxes We put the numbering on each packed items while making an inventory list written in English and load on the truck while checking the number of carton.
Confirm and get the signature After all the packing and loading work is completed, our team leader will ask you to confirm the inventory list and will get the signature on it for approval.
In our warehouse We bring the packed items into our bonded warehouse. Then we make them into some wooden liftvans or some tri-wall cartons, and we check the weight and measurement.
Making documents We will prepare all the required documents for the export custom clearance and for putting on boards.
Put into container We do the vanning work to put a wooden liftvan into 20' or 40' container and share a container with other shippers. Some of the big move will be put into 20'/40' container loose loaded without wooden liftvan. If loose loaded, one shipper can occupy one 20ft or 40ft container. 20ft container can load approx 27-28cbm, and 40ft container can load approx 54-56cbm. 20ft contianer size is 5.9 x 2.34 x 2.21 meter for its inner LWH dimension. 40ft container size is 12.04 x 2.34 x 2.39 meter for its inner LWH dimension.
In terminal The export custom in Japan side will be cleared as personal effects.
In port And a 20'/40' container will be put on board.
On the sea The vessel will be departed for the destination. it takes approx 10 days from the date of packing until the vessel is departed. And as for the transit time to the major destination port, please click here
In destination port Arriving at the destination port/terminal, the de-vanning work will be conducted and separate the cargo into each shippers.
Opening wooden liftvan Then the wooden liftvan will be opened.
In custom clearace Our destination moving agent will clear the import custom as a personal effects. You are requested to submit a passport copy, your face page, and the landing stamp page after you entered the destination country. And some custom form must be also submitted.
Delivery day After making an appointement when to be delivered, you personal effects will be delivered to your new residence, to your respective room.
Unpacking work We do the unpacking work, and do the fabrication of de-fabricated furniture, and placing of furniture into the required position.
After placing we remove the packing debris on the same day.
